You can always tell that things are not going so well for Trump, when he threatens to sue the press.

The truth about the his attack on Iran is coming out, whether he likes it or not. Two important news stories out today indicate the impact of the strikes is not as Trump has portrayed them. Color me shocked {tone: sarcasm}.

Trump Threatens the Media

On Wednesday, Trump threatened to sue CNN and the NYT for reporting on findings of the Defense Intelligence Agency, which we covered here. In letters from Trump’s personal lawyers, Trump threatened to sue, claiming the reporting damaged Trump’s reputation. LOL.

His lawyer also demanded that the news organizations “retract and apologize for” their coverage, claiming that their sharing the findings of U.S. intelligence is “false,” “defamatory” and “unpatriotic.”

Unpatriotic. That’s the other road they’re taking along with smearing the press. The regime is claiming that reporting the truth is demeaning the U.S. military, and therefore unpatriotic. Alrighty then.

The Times and CNN told Trump to kick sand. NYT responded:

“No retraction is needed. No apology will be forthcoming. We told the truth to the best of our ability. We will continue to do so.”

Today on Fox News, Trump went further still, saying he would use the legal system to force reporters to reveal their sources. Remember in Week 25, we covered that Attorney General Pam Bondi said federal authorities can seek reporters’ phone records and compel their testimony in leak investigations. Trump threatened:
